        Sandee is a one of a kind, wonderful blogger friend that comes all the way from Comedy Plus and Aww…Mondays, to pay me a visit, each and every day, even if it’s just to waste her time reading my dry non-sense. She does a great job at supporting me with all her kind comments, cheering me up with all her funny remarks, she puts a smile on my face every time with no exception and she makes me feel special, because she always finds the time to stop by and say hi, even though I don’t deserve it all the time.
        To be honest I suspect she might be my fairy godmother otherwise I can’t see why she’d be so nice and supportive. She is my biggest fan and ever since I’m back on the ships, to work, she keeps the Monday hops alive. I don’t really know how she does that but she motivates me and keeps me upbeat. Without her support I wouldn’t be able to have that hop ready on time but only the thought of her waiting for the Monday Smiles to get published so she can help me spread the smiles around the blogosphere, by placing the code on her Aww..Mondays blog, makes me push myself and do my best to have it done and not give up on it. I kind of have a hunch it’s all because I’m afraid she’d kick my ass if I don’t
        So thank you, awesome lady from the other side of the world, for keeping me on the right track and being there for me, even though lately I find it very hard to return the favor, the ship’s internet Gods and I are really not the best of friends it seems. Just know you are in my thoughts and I appreciate what you do for me, with all my heart.

        Now, you other lovely friends, I’m sure you’re very anxious and would love to meet this special lady ASAP, so what are you waiting for? Go find the woman and have fun together, she is the master of it.

        I’ll just cut straight to the chase on this one: Google hates my blog and maybe even me.
        The other day I’ve got this weird e-mail from them, bluntly and very rudely announcing me my 1 year old AdSense account has bee shut down for inactivity, whatever that means. I’m still trying to figure out what the heck they’re trying to say cause last time I checked, my blog, as humble as it may be, does have some pretty good activity, I mean about 1000 page views a day must mean something. Maybe not in Google’s world but it sure does in mine. I can’t seem to comprehend what an almighty Google would gain from bringing pain to small people like me.
        Anyway, I couldn’t care less of their non sense AdSense and I won’t even bother to check what happened, I’ve got way more important things to do and I actually have a life, unlike Google’s robots. But there’s one thing that actually worries me and it keeps popping into my thoughts ever since. I keep reading stories similar to mine and they all ended up with a whole Google account being shut down which means my beloved baby, that I’ve been working on for over a year and gave it my best, my little blog, is facing a big danger, to be completely and irreversibly erased from the face of the…internet. And all its posts and fun hops and priceless photos will just vanish into the ether. That would definitely make a big hole in my heart as this tiny blog means a lot to me, it might not be as important as my daughter Ellie or my husband, but it takes up a lot of space in my heart, especially now that I’m away from Ellie and I need to focus on something I really love, to keep my mental health well balanced. Plus I’ve built this blog for my daughter, I want her to enjoy it one day as much as I do now and maybe even continue to post on it.
        I’ve always had this fear as Google keeps changing the rules of the game quite a lot, so a year ago I opened a WordPress blog, just as a back up, in case things like this happen. I used to post there once in a while and lately I’ve re-published on WordPress most of the posts from here. Not all of them but starting today, I’m going to slowly move everything there to save all my work and especially my feelings. I really cannot afford to just disappear, just because Google says so, I’ve put too much heart and time into this and I did nothing to deserve this.
        So if one day you’d like to pass by and say hi and suddenly The Seaman Mom has vanished, know that we are not dead, we’ve just moved to WordPress and we’re proudly wearing the same label, our name, The Seaman Mom.
        We never give up, we fight back and even if it seems like we might be losing the battle, we actually win the war.
